Meet the woman behind the posts...
I am Kim James, and during my time on this side of heaven, I've experienced a lot, accomplished a lot and I have learned a lot about myself, the world around me and the God who has sustained me through the worst of times and inspired me to the best of times.

I am a graduate of Hampton University. I am a former NFL cheerleader. I am a self published author. I am the former founder and director of the Dream in Color Foundation as well as a former educator. I am the mother of two amazing sons and recently divorced. Now, I am an empty nester, starting over in a new state, in the midst of my journey to wholeness and I've been challenged and inspired to take you along for the ride, in hopes that as your blogger, my story and learned lessons will be a blessing to you.

As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and toxic relationships, I am now an advocate for abused and neglected children in the Charlotte, NC court system. I have a passion to minister to victims of sex trafficking and I care deeply about racial issues that are wreaking havoc in this country. I hope to be both an honest voice for the joys and pains of being a black woman in America, as well as serve as a bridge to healing and reconciliation as a daughter of Christ.

It is my hope that you will join me on this journey with an open mind and sensitive heart. God bless!
